Cracking on with the Beta and leaked facebook code

With the main code sorted. (and we spent too long looking at the leaked facebook code) It's now a question of putting the user admin pages together. It's proving a long task to do, considering there is hardly anything there! Of course the traditional mehthod would have seen it solved, but of course Ajax is so much slicker. Naturally it brings along a lot more issues. One of which is working out when to do the updates to the server and protecting against security risks.

Oh and we have the .com domain name as well now for the
Surfbuddy.com toolbar cool huh

Ajax interface

A pretty much fully functioning test site now. Even the scalable mailing solution is in place and working with 10 servers managing to access the queue at once. Pretty neat and solves the outgoing email bottleneck.

This weekend was a time to play around with the Ajax interface for the groups and emails. Not bad first attempt and with a bit more polish should make editing yoru groups pretty easy.

The temptation of course is to go overboard on ajax, but with all those callbacks it's just going to be used where it is needed for now.

Waiting to get a nice load balanced router next and combined firewall.

In addition we also managed to build in a great email class that looks like it will cut down on the number of messags blocked by over zealous spam filters.
